David is a pet lover from the outskirts of Miami, Florida. He loves to keep exotic animals as a pet. It won’t be an exaggeration if we call his home a mini zoo; the biggest attraction in his collection of pets is an anaconda. David loves it a lot and takes care of it like his children. He has created a perfect enclosure to keep the anaconda.
David’s neighbours visit his home and admire his pets, but don’t go near the anaconda.He explained them many times and tried to make them relax so that the anaconda wouldn’t harm but could not convince them. There was fear in their mind that didn’t go. Nevertheless, everything was going right till 30th May 2019 when a mishap happened.
It was the birthday of David’s daughter Sara who turned five years old that day. She invited many children from the school.The house was beaming with the laughter of kids. It was around 7:30 pm when Sara cut the cake, and everyone was taking dinner. Suddenly they heard heart-wrenching screaming from the place where the animals were kept. David and his friends rushed to the spot and that the giant anaconda had constricted his servant Julian.

Julian had been working at David’s house for more than five years; however, he never faced such an onslaught by the anaconda. Nevertheless, David and his friends rescued him. After a few minutes, when Julian was fine, he told that he came to give meat and other food to all the animals, but as he was in a hurry for the cake cutting, he forgot to lock the enclosure.
The anaconda came out behind him and caught his leg. He struggled for some time, but the anaconda was too powerful for him. Anyway, Julian was lucky that day as he was saved from the deadly constrict of the anaconda, but it does not always happen. There have been many incidents of pet owners killed by constrictors. Let’s have a look at the dangers of keeping anaconda as a pet.
1. When an anaconda is hungry: Anacondas become very aggressive when they are hungry. If you keep anaconda as a pet, make sure you feed it from time to time else it may attack you when you go to serve food. There have been few incidents when anaconda killed its owner.
2. Maintain safe distance while giving food:Anacondas, like any other snake, has an acute sense of smell, especially its food. So, when you go to provide food, it becomes restless, and, in this process, it may mistake your hand as food, and once it catches hold of your hand or leg, it will nearly be impossible to get yourself released if you are alone.
Even if you get yourself from its clutch, your hand or leg might be injured severely.
3. Dangerous for children: Children are frolic in nature and love to play with animals as they don’t realise the danger. So, if you have kids at home, it becomes indispensable to keep them away from the anaconda because if the anaconda catches a child, it can kill and swallow the kid in a few minutes even before you realise it.
4. Can break away enclosure: The anaconda is a wild animal, and it needs a marshy place with warm weather. If it does not get the kind of environment, it loves it can break away the enclosure, and once it comes out, it can attack anyone and wreak havoc around your house. So, you need to build a robust enclosure and provide a perfect environment for the anaconda.
